Anyone who has an iPhone and uses it to text friends and family know the kinds of mistakes that can happen with auto-correct. It happens to me all the time, and it’s frustrating. I’ve always wondered why there isn’t a “cancel” button or something before the message is completed, but I’m sure the team over at Damn You, Auto Correct are glad there isn’t.
This site shows hilarious screenshots taken from actual iPhone text conversations sent in by their users, displaying the hilarious outcomes of autocorrect disasters. Check out some examples below and visit the site for more laughs.
Someone sent this one in to me and after viewing it, I thought it was fun and nerdy enough to post on the site. This infographic is a visual representation of Pi which as you know is approximately equal to 3.14159265. You do know that, right? No?!?
This infographic should explain everything to you, but most likely not (this is super nerdy), so I also recommend that you watch this weird video about Pi too.
When I was going through some music videos and putting together my post about my favorite electronica songs, I realized that there are lots really sexy, and very dirty music videos. Just a warning that these probably aren’t going to be safe for work.
There isn’t any nudity, but there might as well be. You’ll see what I mean if you watch the video below from Eric Prydz or the one featuring Montana Fishburne.
A very sexy one from Benny Benassi. I like his style! He actually has an uncut version of this song that does have nudity, but you’ll have to search Google for that one.
I really like this video, especially the movement of the robots. The ending is funny too.
I’m not sure I would classify this one as sexy, but this super raunchy video features Laurence Fishburne’s daughter, Montana, also known by her porn name, Chippy D. I’m actually very surprised this video hasn’t been taken down by YouTube because it definitely pushes the boundaries of what’s allowed.
This video features glamour model, Angela Taylor, posing and groping herself the entire time.
Now here is a video of probably the smartest kids ever.
This video from Studio B called “I See Girls” reminded my of a longer and better Axe commercial.
Everybody likes hot girls playing sports right?
Erykah Badu shot a video “Guerilla” style in Dallas, with only one camera guy. She walked through the Dealey Plaza while slowly stripping, eventually completely nude, for which she actually received a fine and probation for the stunt. This video is edited, but you still get the idea.
This song called Day ‘N’ Night from Kid Cudi mixed by the Crookers is about a guy trying to run a 24 hour store. It’s his last chance to prove he’s responsible enough to manage the store, but he’s got some sort of magic pen that isn’t going to make that task easy. I wish I had that pen…
You’ll probably recognize this tune because it’s been in a ton of movies. You’ll never forget this video now either. I wanna go to band camp 😉
Hot chicks smashing mailboxes with baseball bats, playing in a children’s swimming people, molesting yard statues and causing general mayhem. Nice!
Not only is this a sexy music video, but the song is hot too at about a minute in. Check out this awesome electronica remix featuring the voice of Michael Jackson and the backside of some model.
Here’s a very interesting video from Eric Prydz featuring a whole room full of hot girls doing aerobics and only one lucky guy in the room enjoying the show. If aerobics classes were like this, more men would be fit. Of course it would probably become a sausage-fest and women wouldn’t show up anymore. I had to end this post with this one. 🙂
I’ve been listening to quite a bit of techno recently, or Electronica for the fanboys who would like to ream me for calling it Techno, so I thought I’d keep track of my favorite tunes so all of you could enjoy them too 🙂
I hope you like them as much as I do.
This first song is by DJ Chuckie and the song is called Let the Bass Kick. I love the beat of this song. It reminds a lot of Benny Benassi and now that I’ve just remembered one of my favorite songs from him, I’ve posted it right after this song.
Check out this very dance-worthy song from Benny Benassi. The first time I heard this song was in White Chicks with the Wayans brothers. The song came up when the really big guy, also the Dad in Everyone Hates Chris, was dancing in the club all crazy.
Growling Mad Scientists, more commonly known as GMS, is a great psychadelic trance group that puts out some awesome tunes. Check out this song to get an idea of the type of music they put together. This gives off the perfect club vibe.
A song anyone who listens to Electronica should know is Smack My Bitch Up by Prodigy. You might remember this video from the days of MTV when they actually showed music videos. Of course it only came on really late at night because of the adult nature of it. This video is not safe for work.
Pop the Glock is a catchy beat from Felix da Housecat remixed by Pink Enemy. This song has so many different sounds in it, it’s really amazing. I would definitely recommend checking out all of Felix’s stuff if you like house music and electroclash.
If this song from VNC Nation didn’t have vocals it really wouldn’t be much of a song, but it does have vocals so this song is awesome.
Here’s a mellow hardstyle beat from David Sonar. This is one of those songs you won’t be able to get out of your head.
And the list wouldn’t be complete without some dubstep thrown in. This is the Flux Pavilion remix of Cracks by the Freestylers.
If you’ve got any songs you’d like to add to the list, please post them in the comments below. I’d love to hear them.
Some of the funniest stuff comes out of Newgrounds, which is why I’m there so often. Last weeks top 10 brought two creations that I had to share. First was a game called Armed With Wings 3, which originally drew me in with its impressive art and design, but kept me going with fun gameplay. If you’ve got 30 minutes to spare, you should check it out.
The second Flash file that I really loved is a cartoon called Leo and Satan 3. The cartoon is hilarious and the voices are super funny. There are only three cartoons in the series so far, but I hope these guys keep them coming. Check out all three of them at the links below, but beware, there is some foul language.
I love video game fan films because I’m a huge gamer and I love to see my favorite games re-enacted. The Left 4 Dead fan film below is another one that I liked a lot, but definitely not for the acting skills these guys have. They are all terrible actors, but I absolutely love Left 4 Dead and I love gore in my movies, so this flick was lots of fun for me to watch.
My only real disappointment with the film is that there were no female characters. Both the first and second Left 4 Dead games had female characters, but I guess these guys are just too nerdy to know any girls willing to play the part. I’m actually going to go to the basement to fire up the Xbox 360 and play the game right now, all thanks to these dedicated fans. 😀
Top 10 lists are so common these days that you can’t go one day online without running across one. Many professional writers despise top 10 lists because they don’t require much work to put together, but the fact remains that people love them. They are fun, interesting, helpful and can drive lots of traffic to your site if you want to create a few of your own.
There are lots of cool lists here and you can also submit your own to the site if you want. They won’t pay you for your ideas, but at least you can tell all of your friends that your work has been published 😉
This video from the talented artist going by the name of FreddeGredde includes the acoustic interpretation of theme songs to all of the cartoons you grew up with. My favorites include Animaniacs, Talespin, Chip & Dale and Tiny Toon Adventures. Ahh, good times.
Have you heard about the recent controversy regarding Amazon and a book about pedophilia? It has been a hot topic all week and people all over, from Twitter and Facebook to Techcrunch and BlogHer have been petitioning for the books removal. Many people have even committed to never purchasing from Amazon again whether or not the book has been removed, for the simple fact that Amazon ever sold it. Of course those people will probably be buying from Amazon again in a couple weeks or they never bought from Amazon much to begin with, but it’s the thought that counts right?
The book in question is titled “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child Lover’s Code of Conduct.” On Wednesday, Amazon defended it’s position by saying the company “believes it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable.” Many people agree and many people disagree with that reasoning. Amazon has since taken the book down.
This is a very hot-button issue and I can see sides to both arguments. I think Loren Feldman’s latest commentary on the issue explains a different side – removing this book isn’t likely to change anything. What are your thoughts?
