Two of the most influential titles in video game history combined couldn’t be a bad thing, could it?
As your children begin to grow up, the time comes to explain sex to them. This is normally a tough situation for any parent, but by using various Apple products, the process can be made a whole lot easier. Sit your kid in front of the computer screen for a minute and go back to playing your Xbox 360.
This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Alexa Meade is an acrylic artist, but what makes her very different from other artists is that her canvas is actually the human body.
Using acrylic paints, she makes her subjects look just like an actual painting as you would view it on the wall. As you can see from the picture above, the results are amazing. She has lots more crazy pictures from her “living paintings” series on her Flickr page.
You’ve seen the Everest College commercials before haven’t you? They really aren’t much different than this “hood” version actually, which makes this video even more hilarious.
Postcards aren’t usually anything special. Maybe they say something funny, but then they either go in the trash or in a cabinet and you forget about it for a few years. This is where the Postcarden comes in.
A Studio for Design created the Postcarden which is a fun postcard you can send to friends and family that can be transformed into a small garden once recieved. The recipient will recieve the Postcarden which can be transformed into 3d form and comes with cress seeds.
Lightly water the seeds, put your garden in sunlight and it’ll start to grow in 2-3 days and will last for up to 2 weeks. Once grown, the cress can be eaten! I’ve never eaten cress before but Wikipedia says its related to watercress and mustard and has a peppery, tangy flavor and aroma.
I know that Epic Beard Man has been posted all over the place already, but I didn’t feel right leaving such an awesome piece of history off of my site. If you haven’t seen it yet, get ready for the awesomeness and a fanny pack.
And now for the Mortal Kombat version! Flawless Victory!
There are lots of other funny remixes and mashups on YouTube if you want to see more.
Vimeo user Lait Noir, Maya Rota Klein and Diego Lorenzo Zanitti put together an awesome stop-motion video on how to make butter cookies in Photoshop. This is really cool. They recreated Photoshop menus and drop-downs and the toolbox using cardboard but instead of the normal labels, they were ingredients and kitchen utensils.
The video came out great and the cookies look delicious!
By the way, if you own a Mac there’s a neat stop-frame animation tool you can use called Animationizer to make something similar to this. I don’t use a PC so if anyone has an suggestions for Windows users, please leave a comment below.
