I use to love my Atari. I still have one actually and quite a few games to go with it, but it isn’t hooked up anymore. After watching these commercials, I just might have to hook it up again, sometime soon. My friends are all gamers too, so I’m sure we could make a whole day out of it, drinking beers and playing games.
That Ice Hockey commercial is hilarious because I can’t even imagine getting that pumped up by blocky pixel figures moving around on the screen. Those were some amazing graphics back then though.
I would hook it up this weekend, but I’m going to the Great American Beer Festival here in Denver. 🙂 I can’t wait!!
Did you see the Broncos game last week when they played against the Bengals? I did, because I’m a Broncos fan, but if you didn’t see it, you probably saw highlights featuring the amazing play at the end of the fourth quarter that won them the game.
They’re calling this play the Immaculate Deflection.
Kyle Orton made the pass to left sideline where it was deflected, and instead of the ball hitting the ground like it would about 99% of the time, it popped up into the air where Brandon Stokely caught it and ran it 87 yards for a touchdown.
It sucks that the Broncos couldn’t have made this win by skill, but I’ll take it anyway. If you wanna watch the play as it happened that day, check out this replay.
If you want to see an even better, more awesome replay, take a look at the Tecmo version. You’re gonna love this one!
I’ve never seen anything like this before, but I think it’s safe to say that this guy is probably a crackhead.
From what I can gather from the video, a group of guys have a really strong laser pointer and are shooting it from their window up in their apartment. When the guy on the street below see’s it, he starts to chase it around and even tries to catch it with his hands.
This is why you should never do drugs kids.
Note: There is lots of cussing and f-bomb drops in this video.
If you’re the kind of person who sometimes shares a little too much personal info on Twitter, or if you’ve said something completely stupid or innapropriate you’re likely to get a nice top spot on Twaxed.com.
Twaxed is a fun new site that gathers up hilarious posts from Twitter and displays them for the world to see in one place. It’s really a complete list of how embarrassing people are.
You can also head over to the site and submit tweets that you feel have the twaxed quality and also vote up or down the tweets that others have submitted.
If you love music as much as I do you probably enjoyed my post yesterday about listening to movie soundtracks, but today I have another really awesome music site to add to your bookmarks.
Mugasha is a place where you can go to listen to podcasts and long sets from famous DJs from around the world. The best thing about it is that since sets are essentially one long recording, Mugasha breaks them apart so that songs can be skipped and browsed easily.
I don’t know how often the site is updated, but there’s already quite a bit of good stuff on there right now. I just got done listening to International Departures 007 – Myon & Shane 54. The first song on the set was Wonderwall by Oasis (Myon & Shane 54 Helpless Mix). What a great song to start this set off with!
Definitely check out this site for some top-of-the-line, quality electronica.
Everybody has a list of their own favorite movies, and when you hear one of the songs from it, memories of that movie come flooding in. Before you know it, you’re singing every song of the flick, while people stare at you like you’re a complete wackjob.
I have a friend that does that all the time with Sixteen Candles. It’s so annoying.
If you want to listen to all of your favorite songs from your favorite movie, check out MoMuPl. All you have to do is type in a name of the movie and out pops the soundtrack for your listening pleasure.
Another really sweet thing about this is that lot’s of bands release original songs or remixes that are never released on their own albums, and only on the soundtrack. Say for example the awesome remix of Mouth, by Bush from the movie “An American Werewolf in Paris.” <--- Listen to that!!
I love this site already 😀
